Another micro-producer, Gaetano Salvioni makes about 450 cases a year of Brunello and about 150 cases of Rosso di Montalcino. The 2009 vintage was his first release and we began working directly with him in 2015. He worked in a town called Buonconvento for years as a stereo salesman, but inherited a small piece of property in the Tavernelle region next to Villa le Prata. Made in botte the wine is full of spice, floral, focused, long and balanced but with good richness. Higher up on the hill, three different parcels with three different exposures, allowing for freshness.
