ALEXANDRE LE BRUN

Alexandre Le Brun is the smallest grower that we work with directly here at K&L with only about three hectares of vineyards. He is also the youngest winemaker that we buy from (only twenty-six when we placed our first order) and has an energy and an enthusiasm for life that is contagious. His vineyards contain some of the oldest vines that we’ve ever come across from a grower, originally planted in 1900 (some of the first to be grafted after phylloxera). Le Brun's production is so small that most of his wines are the result of a single pressing (or often can be a portion from a single pressing)! Only his "Tradition" expression has combines wines from multiple lots. Le Brun is located in the village of Monthelon, a microclimate in the Champagne region that often creates a crystalline and pure style of wine.
