FLUTEAU

Fluteau is a small Champagne grower/producer located in the village of Gye-Sur-Seine, part of the Aube region. Fluteau is a traditional grower whose wines reflect the Chablis-like soil in which their grapes are grown, composed mainly of Kimmeridgian clay much like what is found further south in Burgundy. Because they ferment entirely in stainless steel, the wines carry a lovely mineral note and crisp acidity that shines without the influence of oak. Owned by Jeremy Fluteau and his father Thierry, Fluteau was established in 1935 and operates with nine hectares of estate-owned vineyards.
