Albert Joly
A Puligny-Montrachet grower bottling village lieux-dits — Les Tremblots and Les Charmes — with the energy and stony finish the village is known for.
Albert Joly is a small family domaine in Puligny-Montrachet, the Côte de Beaune village whose Chardonnay is the model of tension and minerality. We import the village wines from named lieux-dits: Les Tremblots and Les Charmes.
Bill Nanson of the Burgundy Report found the Tremblots compact and fresh, with a base of citrus, mouth-watering energy and a stony finish he really enjoyed. Puligny at this price is rare; Puligny this good at this price is why we go and get it ourselves.
