Wines and spirits we buy straight from the people who make them — no importer, no distributor — which is why they cost less here than anywhere, and why many of them exist only on our shelves.
Every one of these producers was found by a K&L buyer — in the cellar, at the kitchen table, often over many years. We taste before we buy, choose the lots and the vintages ourselves, and go back.
The wine or spirit travels from the producer to our warehouse with nobody in between. For single casks of whisky, rum or Cognac we pick the barrel ourselves; at home, the deals are made winery by winery.
