Domaine Belle is in Larnage, on the kaolin-rich hills north of Tain, and is one of the names that made Crozes-Hermitage worth taking seriously. Parker called the wines intelligently made, fresh, lively and concentrated; the Cuvée Louis Belle shows roasted meats, lavender, garrigue and blackcurrant.
Roche Pierre is the single-site Crozes; the white Crozes-Hermitage, from Marsanne, is one we have carried back to the early 2000s. There is also a Hermitage.
