Domaine de Millet
Côtes de Gascogne white from Armagnac country, where the grapes that once went to the still now make bright, aromatic table wine.
The Côtes de Gascogne is primarily known for Armagnac; it is only in the last twenty years or so that its producers began taking table wine seriously. Traditionally the grapes would have been distilled, but by fermenting at low temperatures in stainless steel the growers found they could develop and preserve powerful aromatics instead. Domaine de Millet is the estate we work with.
The Côtes de Gascogne Blanc, Colombard with Ugni Blanc, is the one — citrus, grapefruit, and a price that makes it a house white.
