Domaine la Clef du Récit

Anthony Girard remains one of Keith Mabry's favourite characters in Sancerre. Deciding to strike out on his own, he left the family winery and created his own project in the southern part of the appellation. The name means the keys to the castle, which already seems interesting as there is no castle — unless it refers to his creative mind.

Sancerre is the core; the Menetou-Salon and Quincy, from the neighbouring Sauvignon appellations, are the bargains.
