Jean-Jacques Lamoureux

Jean-Jacques Lamoureux is a grower estate in the Aube, now run by Vivien Lamoureux. Its claim to fame is Les Amoureux, one of the very few Champagnes bottled exclusively from Pinot Blanc — a grape permitted but rarely planted, and here rarely plentiful enough to load the press. It took five years for us to get another allocation.

Candied citrus exoticism over pain-au-levain aromatics, broad and silky; the Cuvée Gabin Brut Zero is the house's bone-dry counterpart. This is rare stuff, and we bring it in ourselves.
