Joël Taluau

Joël Taluau is one of the reference growers of St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, and his Vieilles Vignes is proof that Loire Cabernet Franc can age. Open a mature bottle and there is a surprising amount of soft red and black fruit before the savoury green notes gather — deep but not overly rich, with still amazing acidity.

Vau Jaumier is the single-vineyard cuvée; we have had vintages from 2003 on the shelf alongside the current release.
