Jean-Noël Millon's organic Saumur and Saumur-Champigny, made in a tuffeau cellar carved two centuries ago.
Keith Mabry first met Jean-Noël Millon at an organic wine fair in the south of France; the wines were impressive enough that he arranged a visit on his next trip through the Loire. The winery sits above an ancient cellar carved from the chalky tuffeau two centuries ago, and the Chenin and Cabernet Franc are farmed organically.
Saumur-Champigny is the red; Salut à Toi and La Coulée d'Aunis are the Saumur whites.
