Mas de Sainte Croix
Jacques Coipel left the oil industry in 2002 for an exceptional site at Valréas, 1,200 feet up, where northern winds keep the wines crisp.
Jacques Coipel worked in the petrol industry until 2002, when he changed careers and bought an exceptional site in Valréas, the Côtes du Rhône village cru in the papal enclave. The vineyards sit at around 1,200 feet on clay, limestone and gravel, and cooling winds from the north give the wines a crispness that is rare in the southern Rhône.
Passion d'Une Terre and Tendresse d'un Climat are the Valréas reds; Pure is a varietal Syrah.
