Burgundy’s 2022 Vintage: Hitting on All Cylinders
The Burgundies are landing fast and furiously at K&L with a bevy of amazing values from the fantastic 2022 vintage! With pricing finally stabilized and a good-sized crop contributing to robust supply, now is the time to load up on the bargains in stock. We just had several containers land with many of our most popular direct import producers like Domaine Jean Michel Giboulot, Domaine de la Charrière, Domaine Renaud, Château de la Maltroye, Domaine Bart, and Domaine Pernot-Belicard. What separates 2022 from the last few vintages is the consistency in the quality of both the whites and reds—these wines are EXCELLENT! They are beautiful and fruit-forward with excellent balance, great acidity, and fine tannins. These wines will be enjoyable in their youth as well as worthy of your cellar.
Besides all the wonderful wines we have in stock there are some great things lined up for the holiday season. We have a value Burgundy tasting scheduled for Saturday November 9th, which should be an eye-opener because of the vast amount of Burgundian values currently out there within reach. On Saturday December 7th, we will have our Grand Burgundy Tasting, which will have numerous Grand Cru wines available to taste—this is a don’t miss opportunity to taste some of the greats! Save the dates, and keep an eye on our Local Events page or sign up for our tasting email list for more details!
Please keep a look out for some exciting wines that are due in within the next 4-6 weeks. We have the return of Domaine Gautheron Chablis, which was one of our most successful new direct import roll outs ever. People instantly fell in love with theses wines, and we quickly set up another shipment since they sold out so quickly. We also have a new producer for K&L from the Mâcon that is guaranteed to set the world ablaze: Château de Beauregard is one of the top producers in the Mâconnais with a stunning set of 1er Cru Pouilly-Fuissé as well as entry-level offerings from Joseph Burrier. The wines from Château de Beauregard blew me away when I tasted their wines, and I was ecstatic to get these guys on board with us. Both Gautheron and Château de Beauregard are making fantastic affordable wines that you should be keeping an eye out for.

2023 Alain Corcia "Saint-Antoine" Chablis Vieilles Vignes $24.99
We could not keep on the shelves the 2022 Alain Corcia "Saint-Antoine" Chablis Vieilles Vignes, the tasty Chablis in the odd-shaped, Old-World bottle. The 2023 is a tremendous follow-up to the 2022 vintage with a fresh and vibrant nose of sea-breeze, wet stone, and citrus zest followed up by a palate awash in citrus and orchard fruits with notes of minerals, saline, and stone. A quintessential Chablis that hits on all notes. You owe it yourself to grab a few bottles of this fabulous elixir.
