I have not tired of celebrating the success of the 2022 vintage — the charm is in a warm year handled with precision, accessibility and depth that doesn't lead to excess. At the top of my list is Laroque, with three (!) 97-point scores for a sub-$50 wine, and the 99-point Malartic-Lagravière, pure Pessac joy at a fraction of the price.
