Sometimes it’s simply kismet. Our latest private-label release is a collaboration with the famed Chablis producer La Chablisienne. K&L has worked closely with La Chablisienne for many years, and when the opportunity arose to create a private label together, we jumped at the chance. Adding to the magic is the timing: the 2023 vintage commemorates La Chablisienne’s 100th anniversary, while its release in 2026 coincides with K&L Wine Merchants’ 50th anniversary.
La Chablisienne is one of France’s most important cooperatives, vinifying nearly 30% of the region’s total production and offering unparalleled access to high-quality fruit from across Chablis. Originally formed to withstand economic pressures of the 1920s, winegrowers and winemakers across Chablis have been working together ever since to deliver consistently great Chablis at great prices. We are so proud to partner with this pillar of the wine world and to present these two outstanding bottles. Fans of classic Chablis at an exceptional price will absolutely love these offerings.

2023 La Chablisiènne Collaboration Petit Chablis "Cuvee Centenaire" $19.99 Thank God for Petit Chablis! It’s the source of delicious, under-$20 Chablis that consistently flows from Burgundy’s northernmost appellation. The 2023 La Chablisienne K&L Collaboration Petit Chablis is absolutely brilliant, with beautiful notes of sea breeze, flint, citrus zest, and white flowers. On the palate, it’s bright and zippy, with flavors of lime, pear, and other citrus notes, all perfectly balanced against the crisp acidity. This gives the wine great length, complexity, and persistence—remarkable for a humble Petit Chablis. It’s a stellar offering and a wonderful introduction to Chablis at an incredibly affordable price.
2023 La Chablisienne Collaboration Estate Chablis "Cuvee Centenaire" $24.99 Great Chablis doesn’t have to break the bank, and the 2023 La Chablisienne Collaboration Estate Chablis Cuvée Centenaire is a stunning value! Pithy notes of orchard fruits, citrus accents, flint, and crushed seashells leap from the glass, while the palate unfolds with vibrant iodine, citrus, and orchard fruit flavors on a sleek, layered texture. This wine is smooth and vibrant, with excellent acidity and balance. It’s so good, it feels more like a 1er Cru than a village-level offering. Enjoyability here is off the charts—definitely a solid 10 out of 10.
