Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore in the Brut style — dry, rich and creamy, with peach and nectarine — from a family estate in the heart of the DOCG hills.
San Venanzio is in the Valdobbiadene hills, the steep heart of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG. Gabriele and Monica came to it from outside the trade and started, as many in the valley do, with sweeter styles before moving steadily drier; the estate farms its own parcels and buys from neighbouring growers in a landscape of tiny holdings where there is no other way to grow.
The Fortunato Brut is the wine we have carried for years: a mouthwatering nose of peaches and nectarines with a touch of Key lime, clean and fresh but with real weight and palate presence. It is Brut, so it is dry — the right Prosecco for people who think they don't like Prosecco.
