My picks for the week highlight the cool factor in what we bring in as well as some great value. We started with a ready-to-drink infused gin drink called Sweet Gwendoline Fig And Wine Infused French Gin $36.99. It was super tasty and a nice start to the whole thing.
Read MoreCompass Box and K&L have always had a special relationship. Since the inception of this special brand 25 years ago, we've seen eye to eye on every aspect of this business. It wasn't until 2011 that we were able to connect with legendary whiskymaker John Glasser about the potential to do an exclusive for K&L. We had access to anything back then, but one trophy alluded K&L and exclusive Compass Box. That was until 2015 when John Glaser invited our spirits buying team to select an exclusive blend from their stocks, a now legendary blend of old peated malt and a sherry aged malt—5th and Harrison was born. Now 10 years later, we were honored and surprised when James Saxon, Compass Box Master Blender, agreed to build a special batch just for us once again. We had a recipe that we loved, old peat and heavy sherry, but could they pull it off? Of course they did!
Read MoreSome folks tell you, “If you’ve seen one distillery, you’ve seen them all.” I, for one, couldn’t disagree more. The equipment may look similar, but each place has its own heartbeat. The first time I drove to Four Roses, the sunny, Spanish mission-style buildings made me think I’d taken a wrong turn into California.

Read MoreLet’s be honest—Dad’s going to tell you he doesn’t want anything. What he really means is: “Don’t make me decide.” Forget grill gadgets, novelty socks, or golf lessons. What he actually wants is something that belongs on the top shelf of his bar.
That’s where we come in.
We’ve pulled together a list of the most exciting bottles in the world—many of which are exclusive to us. Whether he’s a bourbon nerd, a mezcal-sipping surfer, or the dad who already has everything, we’ve got the perfect bottle for him at a price that can’t be beat.
We have such an incredibly diverse set of offerings in this auction, but as we were putting it together there were some bottles that stood out–sometimes because of what was in the bottle, and sometimes because what was outside the bottle! Here is our top 10 list, in no particular order (and apologies to the other 300+ bottles that didn’t make this list).

Read MoreThe wonderful Writer’s Tears brand has become a staple on our shelves by blending Irish Single Malt and Single Pot Whiskies. The distinction is the use of un-malted barley in the mash for the Single Pot, where as the Single Malts use exclusively 100% malted Barley. The Walsh Whiskey Company was revolutionary by building the first distillery to manually produce all three styles of Irish whiskey (grain being the third) under one roof. Rosemary and Bernard Walsh have since divested of the distillery they built but kept the wonderful brands they’ve created and continue to produce exceptional and affordable Irish whiskey for the a modern palate.
Read MoreThe recent explosion of Irish whiskey has been fueled almost exclusively by one distillery: Midleton. The old plant in Cork is at the crux of an exciting turning point in Irish whiskey heritage. The New Midleton distillery has shepherded Irish whiskey from near distinction to the complete renaissance that we’re currently in the throes of. Thanks to their dedication to the spirit’s heritage as well as their embrace of modern technology, this distillery is producing some of the best current examples of Irish whiskey in the market—and, fortunately for us, we can get these at insane prices.
Read MoreThis week, we’re officially kicking off our Thanksgiving planning. Halloween is in the rearview mirror; Hannukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa are just far enough away that we don’t have to wrap our brains around gifting quite yet… No elves on the shelves, but our rally bird is out in Redwood City—it’s the perfect time to talk turkey.
Read MoreThe world might still be griping about inflation, but here at K&L we’re actively lowering prices like never before. You need to pay attention to our new product feed for most of the craziest deals, although certain special products have been held back from marketing due to my desire to have interesting, affordable products for the holiday season. No telling how long they’ll last, but right now we’ve got an incredible array of fall flavors from some of France’s finest brandy producers. Take a look at this incredible array of special products that we were perfectly happy to sell at full price, but MUCH happier to sell at ridiculous discounts.
