On the Trail, IRL
One of the cornerstones of K&L is travel. We scout out the best winemakers and distillers all over the world to import their wares directly to our shelves. We learn so much about where and how each item was crafted. In the process, we develop lovely relationships with the people and places behind the bottles, and we get excellent pricing to boot.
This past year, obviously, has been a wash as far as travel was concerned. We were all grounded until further notice. We’ve been able to do work arounds for many other aspects of the business during the pandemic era, but travel was no dice.
Until, that is, France opened its borders! As of today, June 9, foreign travelers are welcome in France again. As soon as our co-owner Clyde Beffa heard the news, he booked a flight tout suite.
So, on the trail we will be once again, as of June 10, snapping pictures and videos and a few Instagram Lives along the way. Stay tuned! We’ll all kicking our heels in excitement, and will surely have jubilant stories to share.
