Our Top In-Stock 2020s

Clyde Beffa, Jr., K&L Bordeaux Buyer

An atypical vintage in so many unprecedented ways, 2020 is nonetheless an unequivocally excellent vintage for Bordeaux. When many great wines were produced up and down the Gironde, I give the nod to the Right Bank and Pessac as the regions to dig into. That said, collectors should have a field day with any number of these in-stock selections, as the vintage easily stacks up against its predecessors 2018 and 2019. Rich wines of regal bearing are the norm, and while they might entice you to pop the cork early, you can confidently cellar the best of them for a good long while. Read more.

2023 Bordeaux Year in Review

Ryan Moses, K&L Key Accounts

This time of year is always our chance to take stock of the previous year in Bordeaux. My take in a nutshell is that 2023 was an inflection point for the region, its estates, and the market in general. My annual deep dive into the state of Bordeaux touches on a pricing atmosphere that will (or should) continue to be favorable to collectors, thanks to another bountiful harvest in the 2023 vintage, our top sellers of the previous year (including a few best-ever renditions in the surprising 2022 vintage), and my personal favorites that I experienced, which will leave a lasting impression on me for years to come. White Bordeaux Gets Some Respect

Clyde Beffa, Jr., K&L Bordeaux Buyer

I've long held that white Bordeaux could always make the same claim as legendary comedian Rodney Dangerfield: "I get no respect." After all, the category has always lived in the shadow of the reds, and understandably so. Still, we couldn't consider ourselves true Bordeaux fans without giving due regard to some of the absolutely wonderful expressions to be found in both the dry and sweet styles, and at superb prices, to boot.
