Campania: Where Volcanoes, Gods, and Ancient Vines Meet
There are few places in Italy where history feels as raw and still present as it does in Campania. You can experience it while standing on any hillside where you can see Vesuvius's dark presence alongside Pompeii's ancient ruins and the stunning blue waters of Naples Bay. This land offers a combination of historical myths together with volcanic eruptions and breathtaking landscapes. The birthplace of Italy's deepest wine heritage exists in this region.
The Greeks recognized the area's suitability for vine planting when they established Oenotria, which translates to the land of wine. During the Roman era, Falernian wine became the greatest wine treasure throughout the entire ancient world. For a significant period in modern times Campania lost its standing as a wine-producing region. Not anymore. Families who chose to preserve their cultural heritage have initiated a gradual rebirth of the region during the past several decades. Modern winemaking techniques with Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, and Falanghina vineyards yield some of the finest terroir-based wines across the entire country.
From the smoky volcanic slopes of Irpinia to the sun-bleached cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, these are the producers who define the soul of Campania.
The Titans of Irpinia: The Volcanic Heartland
Avellino represents the inland mountainous region that faces the coast. The volcanic region of Campania produces its most agable of the region.

Over the last ten generations the family has maintained their position as guardians of the native grape varieties.
