New Vintage of Fan-Favorite Minervois Now in Stock

We love the good folks at Chateau St-Jacques d’Albas in Minervois, an appellation in the Languedoc that Jancis Robinson dubbed “France’s best value region.” Graham Nutter is the gent behind the scenes at this domaine; after getting bitten by the wine bug, he ditched a career in finance to make wine on this property in 2001. We just received the 2019 vintage of two of their most well-loved bottlings: the Chapelle en Rosé ($16.99)and the Petite Saint Jacques Blanc ($11.99). The Chapelle en Rosé is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah, all organically farmed on their estate. It’s perennially popular around these parts, and for good reason: it is fresh and fruity with savory hints of the garrigue that is grown all around their property. The Blanc is a zesty blend of Vermentino and Viognier with great texture and ripe nectarine notes.

To mark the release, Graham sent us a hello from his estate, showing us the historic chapel for which it is named.

He also gave us a peek at the beautiful vineyard named for the chapel.

There is some solid summer drinking to be had in these bottles. Cheers!
