One of the few Puglia producers we work with, Fujanera is owned by Giusy Albano—a brand new producer who only started a few years ago. She had the vision, her father had the property, so they planted a vineyard and decided to follow her dreams. The wines are all stainless steel fermented, made mostly negroamara, falangina, and nero di troia. The flavors are very pure, which is rare for Puglia—a flat and warm region where the wrong soil produces mainly fat and sloppy wines of little distinction . The Fujanera wines, however, are pure and balanced with a freshness that one rarely finds in from Italy's boot. They're located just outside of Foggia in the northeast of Puglia, one of the cooler zones in the region.
